For beauty salons

Your chairs booked, your clients remembered, your retail actually selling.

Colour appointments that overrun, clients who book by DM and disappear, and a retail shelf that only sells when someone is standing in front of it. Vendzi runs all of it on one calendar.

The daily friction

What actually goes wrong running beauty salons

  1. Colour and treatment appointments do not fit a fixed slot

A root touch-up and a full balayage are not the same 60 minutes, so a slot-based booking form either double-books your stylist or wastes half their day.

  2. Clients book in DMs and it goes nowhere

The booking lives in an Instagram thread that nobody checks on a Saturday, and the client is surprised when there is no record of it.

  3. No-shows on the appointments you cannot refill

A three-hour colour block lost at short notice is the whole afternoon. Without a deposit there is nothing to discourage it.

  4. Nobody knows what was used last time

Formula, developer, the toner mix that came out slightly warm — it lives in one stylist’s head, and it walks out of the door with them.

How Vendzi handles it

The same problems, solved on one system

Everything below is in the product today — not a roadmap item.

Per-service durations, per-stylist availability

Each service carries its own duration and each stylist their own hours, so a balayage takes a balayage slot. Availability is derived from the calendar, and a slot is claimed atomically — two clients cannot take the same chair.

A booking page that replaces the DMs

One link in your bio that shows real openings and confirms instantly. The appointment lands on the calendar and on the client record with no one retyping it.

Deposits on the services that need protecting

Take a deposit at booking for long or high-value appointments, and track no-shows against the client record so you can decide who pays up front next time.

Formula and preference notes on the client

Free-text notes on every client record for the mix, the reaction and the thing they asked you not to do again — visible to whoever is doing their hair.

Retail that sells with the appointment

The shampoo you just used goes on the same ticket at the counter, through the POS, on the same client record. No separate till, no end-of-day reconciliation.

Ads that point at the booking page

Run Google Ads from the same dashboard and see which campaign produced the appointments, not just the clicks.

A day on Vendzi

From first click to second visit

One record follows the client from the ad to the rebooking — nothing is retyped, nothing lives in a DM thread.

  1. Morning

    Booked in one click

The client picks a real opening with the practitioner they want. The slot is claimed atomically, so it cannot be sold twice.

  2. Midday

    Protected where it counts

A deposit guards the long treatments. The short ones stay frictionless — deposits are set per service.

  3. Before

    Reminded, not chased

Automatic reminders go out before the appointment, so the forgotten visit is the exception rather than the pattern.

  4. During

    Noted for next time

History, notes and preferences land on one client record, with role-based access deciding who can read what.

  5. After

    Rung up and rebooked

Services and retail go on one ticket at the counter, the payment is recorded against the client, and the next visit is booked.

Booking & calendar

  • Availability derived from each staff member’s hours and time off
  • Per-service duration, so a colour appointment is not a haircut slot
  • Deposits at booking for the services you want protected
  • No-show tracking against the client record

Questions

Questions we get from beauty salons

If yours is not here, ask when you sign up — you will get a person.

Can each stylist have their own booking page?

Availability is per staff member and clients can book with a specific stylist, so a returning client gets the person they asked for.

Can I take a deposit only on some services?

Yes — deposits are configured per service, so you can protect the three-hour colour and leave a quick trim deposit-free.

Can I sell retail products too?

Yes. Products, variants and stock run alongside services, and both appear on the client record and in the POS.
