Vendzi

For retail stores

One catalogue behind the counter and the checkout.

The shelf, the till and the online store are the same inventory. Vendzi keeps them on one catalogue, so a sale at the counter and an order online cannot both claim the last one.

The daily friction

What actually goes wrong running retail stores

  1. Two inventories that disagree

The till says four left, the website says six, and the only way to find out is to walk to the shelf and count.

  2. Variants buried in the product name

Size, colour and pack size typed into a title field. Nothing can filter, reorder or report on them, and the feed Google reads is wrong.

  3. The online store is a separate system

A second subscription, a second catalogue to keep in sync, and two sets of numbers that have to be reconciled by hand.

  4. The counter cannot see the website

A walk-in asks for something the site has already sold, and there is no way to tell without checking another screen.

How Vendzi handles it

The same problems, solved on one system

Everything below is in the product today — not a roadmap item.

Variants with SKUs and barcodes

Size, colour and pack size as real variants, each with a tenant-unique SKU and a barcode the scanner can read.

Stock per variant, reorder point per product

Stock quantity and stock status on the variant, a reorder point on the product, and inventory tracking that can be switched off for services.

Shipping, pickup or over the counter

Fulfilment type is recorded on the order with its tracking data, and the channel — web, POS, admin or API — is recorded alongside it.

One order table, itemised

Subtotal, discount, tax, tax rate, shipping, fees, paid and refunded per order, with a status per line item through to refunded.

A feed Google can actually read

Products carry a Google category, and the feed generator turns the catalogue into the titles, prices, availability and images Merchant Center expects.

Retail and wholesale pricing

Both prices sit on the product, so the counter, the site and a trade customer are not quoting from three different spreadsheets.

A week on Vendzi

From first read to second order

One record follows the customer from the article to the reorder — nothing lives in a spreadsheet.

  1. Discover

    Found through content

Routine guides and journal posts live on the same domain that sells the product, with sitemap and structured data handled.

  2. Shop

    Variants that read clearly

Size, shade and refill sit under one product, each with its own stock and availability.

  3. Checkout

    Discounts without drama

Coupons, order history and a real checkout. Amounts are set on the server and every execution is duplicate-protected.

  4. Amplify

Feed and ads in one place

The product feed Google Shopping expects, and Google Ads managed next to the orders those ads produced.

  5. Return

    The second order on record

Every order lands on the client record, and a payment link recovers the checkout that almost got away.

The parts you will live in

The parts of the platform retail stores use most

Same subscription underneath. These are the rooms you will spend the day in.

Commerce

A real catalogue with variants, SKUs and per-variant stock; fulfilment as shipping, pickup, digital or service; and one order table that the storefront, the counter and the back office all write to.

  • Variants with tenant-unique SKUs and barcodes, priced as an adjustment on the product
  • Stock per variant with its own status, plus a reorder point per product
  • Retail and wholesale prices held on the same product
  • Fulfilment as shipping, pickup, digital or service, with tracking attached

The counter, on the same system

Point of sale

Ring up a walk-in, take payment, email a receipt and close the day — without a second till that never agrees with the books.

  • Services, products and custom line items in one order
  • Hold an order and resume it when the client is ready
  • Card, cash, pay in store, payment link, or your existing card terminal
  • Per-line discounts and staff attribution

Your account, your money

Payments

Connect the payment provider you already use. Money settles to you; the platform never holds it.

  • Per-shop provider connections with credentials stored server-side
  • Card payments and PayPal, connected through each provider’s own onboarding
  • Payment links sent by email, SMS or WhatsApp
  • Amounts are authoritative on the server — the browser cannot set a price

The part you only notice when it is missing

Built for real operations

The engineering underneath, which is what makes a shop survive a busy Saturday and a compliance question.

  • Per-shop data isolation enforced in the database, not the app layer
  • Several locations under one account, each with its own hours
  • Role-based staff access
  • Audit trail on administrative changes

Questions

Questions we get from retail stores

If yours is not here, ask when you sign up — you will get a person.

Can the same product be sold online and at the counter?

Yes — it is one catalogue. A sale in either channel writes to the same stock, and every order lands in the same table with its channel recorded.

Do I need barcodes?

No, but variants carry a barcode field, so a scanner at the counter can pull up the exact variant rather than a product with four of them.

Can I sell wholesale and retail from one shop?

The product holds a retail price and a wholesale price. There is no separate B2B portal — wholesale is a price on the product, not a second storefront.
